Part of being a good ally is taking action. Starting today, through this weekend, I’ll match up to $500 in donations to the Equal Justice Initiative or the NAACP. Airbnb matches each employee’s every year, up to $1000. So I’ll match your donation, and Airbnb will match both our money. Together, we can contribute $2000 to organizations working to dismantle systemic racism.

I had the opportunity to grow and change a lot in 2017. I took on some big engineering projects, and spent most of the year learning how to be a Product Manager. These are just a few of the most valuable lessons I learned along the way.

I received some feedback recently. It wasn’t from my manager and it wasn’t neatly packaged, direct feedback about what to improve and how. The coworkers who delivered it might not have even realized what they were doing.

I recently took a flight across the country. Like most flights now, it had wifi. I planned to get some work done on the flight. Unfortunately, the wifi was out. Without StackOverflow, would I be able to get any work done? It turns out, a lot more than I was expecting.
